Such big work book

Our Founder:

Alice Ishbel Hay Creswick OBE DStJ (1889-1973)

Alice was born in Scotland and came to Australia in 1911 after marrying an Australian pastoralist she met while he was studying at Oxford University. She became a pioneer of the kindergarten movement in Australia and subsequently Principal Commandant of Australian Red Cross Society during World War II. Her achievements are summarised in the Australian Dictionary of Biography and in the book Such Big Work. To purchase the book, contact mawdsley@melbpc.org.au. All proceeds of book sales go to the Creswick Foundation.
